The Symposium attracted top real estate professionals from 30 countries who came together to network, discuss key trends in the real estate market, experience new cultures and explore global business practices.

Symposium participants are members of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® (LeadingRE), an invitation-only network that connects the best local and regional independent real estate firms worldwide. Awards were presented by LeadingRE Chairman of the Board Mike Pappas, The Keyes Company and Illustrated Properties (Miami, Fla., U.S.).

International Property Agent (Tokyo, Japan) received the Platinum Award. Presented for the first time this year, the Platinum Award recognizes the company that has best demonstrated commitment and excellence through their LeadingRE membership.

Barfoot & Thompson (Auckland, New Zealand) was presented the Global Vanguard Award for exceptional achievements in technology, sales volume and agent recruitment and retention.

Berry Everitt, Chas Everitt International Property Group (Johannesburg, South Africa), earned the prestigious Global Leadership Award for his extreme generosity of time and commitment in supporting LeadingRE’s global strength and growth.

Kimberly Barkoff, Brown Harris Stevens (New York, N.Y., U.S.), James Puddle, One Global Group (Hong Kong) and Kevin Skipworth, Dexter Realty (Vancouver, BC Canada) received the Global Ambassador Award based on active participation in LeadingRE on many levels, their promotion of the network worldwide and their service as role models for other members.

Ginesta Immobilien (Kusnacht, Switzerland) was presented with the Global Referral Production Award in recognition of sending the most outgoing referrals this year among companies outside of North America, demonstrating worldwide service capabilities.

Maker Advisory (Sydney, Australia) and Groupe Immobilier Mercure France (Toulouse, France) earned the Long Distance Referral Award for collaborating on the referral that traveled the greatest distance for a transaction – 17,317 km from Sydney to Lourdes, France. Groupe Immobilier Mercure France also earned the Referral Service Excellence Award for above-and-beyond service and professionalism in handling a challenging cross-border referral.

Jones Lang LaSalle Residential Portugal (Lisbon, Portugal) was recognized with the Referral Innovator Award for their creativity in leveraging their LeadingRE relationships to generate referral business, incoming or outgoing.

DFH Real Estate (Victoria, BC Canada) won the Referral Accelerator Award for its commitment to increasing referral awareness and assisting clients outside their local market by making introductions to fellow members.

One Caribbean Estates (Holetown, Barbados) earned the Luxury Trendsetter Award for leadership in the affluent real estate space and exemplary engagement with Luxury Portfolio International®, a Leading Real Estate Companies of the World’s luxury marketing division.
