Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® Recognizes Top Performers at Annual Conference

 

CHICAGO June 10, 2021 – Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® honored top-performing member firms and individuals at its recent conference in Las Vegas. Awards were presented in key areas, including marketing excellence, referral performance and business leadership.

LeadingRE President/CEO Paul Boomsma said, “Paying tribute to our members’ success and contributions is always a highlight of our conference, but the awards took-on special meaning this year. Among the awards presented was the Diamond Award, LeadingRE’s top company honor, which went to one company in each size category based on superior engagement and performance in all of LeadingRE’s business programs. Receiving the Diamond Award were Allen Tate Company (Charlotte, NC); Lyon Real Estate (Sacramento, CA); Realty Austin (Austin, TX); Beverly-Hanks & Associates (Asheville, NC); Dickens Mitchener (Charlotte, NC); WK Real Estate (Boulder, CO); Hamner Real Estate, LLC (Tuscaloosa, AL); and Cloud Real Estate (Killeen, TX).

The prestigious Leadership Award, celebrating a broker whose leadership skills and achievements have drawn the attention and admiration of others, was presented Lennox Scott, John L. Scott Real Estate (Bellevue, WA). The Referral of the Year was presented to IRG – International Realty Group Ltd. (George Town, Cayman Islands).

Included in the top marketing awards was the Best Overall Website, presented to Silver Creek Real Estate Group (Cashiers, NC). The Most Innovative Brokerage Award was given to Latter & Blum, Inc. Realtors (New Orleans, LA). Most Innovative Office Design was awarded to two firms: M IMMOBILIER (Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada) and Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate (Avon, CO).

Denise Talboy, The Keyes Company (Plantation, FL) received the Hall of Fame Award for extraordinary talent and contributions to LeadingRE over many years. The Chairman’s Service Award was presented to Andrea Bowles, Blanchard & Calhoun Real Estate (Augusta, GA); Jeremy Hurst, IRG – International Realty Group Ltd. (George Town, Cayman Islands); Dan Elsea, Real Estate One, Inc. (Southfield, MI); Tammy Vlah, Watson Realty Corp. (Jacksonville, FL); and Kim Givens, William Raveis Real Estate (Shelton, CT). Earning the President’s Service Award were Whitney LaCosta, Coach Real Estate Associates, Inc. (Northport, NY); Susan Sadowski, Howard Hanna Real Estate Services (Pittsburgh, PA); and Tammy Heard, Jim Maloof/Realtor® (Peoria, IL).

Other prestigious referral awards were previously presented at a virtual awards ceremony held in the spring.

Michael Pappas, President & CEO of The Keyes Family of Companies, assumes the role of LeadingRE Chairman of the Board.

 

CHICAGO (June 7, 2021) – Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® (LeadingRE) announced today that Michael Pappas of The Keyes Family of Companies has been elected to a two-year term as chairman of the board of directors. The board provides strategic guidance for LeadingRE®, a global network of 550 market-leading real estate firms in 70 countries.

Mr. Pappas is the President & CEO of The Keyes Family of Companies, a South Florida based real estate company with multiple real estate brands, over 50 branches, 3,500 plus Associates and affiliates that include Capital Partners Mortgage, Home Partners Title, Keyes Insurance, and Keyes Property Management. With sales and services in excess of $8.3 billion annually, the company is one of the largest independent brokerage firms in the United States.

Mr. Pappas graduated Cum Laude from Wake Forest University, where he majored in Business and Spanish. He joined Keyes as a Sales Associate in 1980 and held a variety of positions, including General Sales Manager, until taking over as President in 1992.

Mr. Pappas has been the recipient of numerous awards and designations, including the YPO Legacy Award and “Real Estate Up and Comer of the Year” by Price Waterhouse and “Best Real Estate Deal of the Year” by South Florida Magazine. The past three years, he was named in the National Top 200 Most Powerful People in Real Estate by Swanepoel Power 200.
