Nestled in the idyllic Alsenz river landscape stands this unique monument - a former signal box from 1904, which once served as the heart of the rail link between the Nahe valley and Rheinhessen. For decades, it was a place of movement and precision, where trains were controlled and passengers safely guided. Today, this striking building presents itself as an extraordinary domicile in which history and modern living comfort form a perfect symbiosis. In 1989, the massive building made of Hunsrück slate quarry stone was restored with the utmost care and converted into a stylish home with around 100 m² of living space on three levels. Exposed brickwork, ceilings up to 6 meters high, light-flooded galleries and spacious living areas define the character of the house. The architectural clarity and the combination of old and new create an ambience that is both prestigious and comfortable - a place for individualists who value character and quality. A real one-off: the former signal box was even featured in an SWR documentary (minutes 22:50 to 25:05) - you can watch the episode here: [SWR Eisenbahn-Romantik, Episode 1057](https://www.swr.de/video/sendungen-a-z/eisenbahn-romantik/folgen/folge-1057-artikel-100.html).
