The equestrian facility was newly built in 2000 and laid out in such a way that thethe viewer the impression of a four-sided farm. At its center is an attractiveattractive green area, which is used and maintained exclusively for events.events. The equestrian facility is located directly on the outskirts of Berlin and is the most modern facilityin Berlin and Brandenburg. It offers space for approx. 100 horses and is conveniently located directlyon the Bundesstraße 1 and yet right next to the Brandenburg and Berlin forests. The huge forest area has kilometers of riding trails for rides into nature and the nearby nature reserve "Der Machnow". The buildings contain three apartments, each with approx. 100 m² of living space, a restaurant (approx. 500 m²) with a large beer garden and two large, separate function rooms. There are also approx. 100 parking spaces on the grounds of the equestrian center in order to be prepared for the high number of regular visitors, also due to the restaurant. All buildings are thermally insulated, with double-shell brickwork, which is lovingly finished with clinker bricks on the facades.which is lovingly faced with clinker bricks on the façades. The roof beam heads are also lovingly decorated on the outside. All the roofs, the stables and the riding halls are fitted with thermally insulated roof elements (sandwich). This guarantees pleasantly cool indoor air in the buildings at the height of summer and means that the riding halls can be heated well in winter, which also allows winter events to be held inside the riding halls. A large grandstand, which can also be heated, offers space for around two hundred people. In the middle of the roof of the stables and the riding halls, huge domed skylights have beenwhich can be opened electrically. They not only provide a modern ventilation system,They also ensure that the horses perceive the evening twilight inside the stables as very natural, which is important for the horses' metabolism. This means that the lights only have to be switched on when it is completely dark, which saves an enormous amount of electricity. The windows and doors of the stables and indoor riding arena are custom-made.They can be completely folded outwards so that the horses can put their heads outsideoutside and can therefore take part in the social events. They can also be folded inwards without the horses being able to injure themselves. In addition, the ventilation system in the stable is designed so that fresh air enters through the windows and the stale and heated stable air can flow out again from the middle of the roof. The windows are fitted with side baffles so that the air flowing through does not pass over the horses' kidneysof the horses and thus counteracts the risk of colds. The windows areburglar-proof from the outside, even when tilted. In addition, all buildings have alarm systems to prevent break-ins and theft in the stables and tack rooms.
