In the heart of Rome just a short walk from the most important monuments of the town there is a splendid historical palace, that in the 15th century has become the family palace of a rich and powerful nobles of Rome, the Boccabella family. Only after the restoration made by Carlo Fontana on commission of the Massimo family the palace has obtained the today aspect. During the years the palace has been bought by different families, the last one has been the Colonna family. The 350 sq m circa penthouse, which is developed on three floors and has three separate entrances, enjoys of a breath-taking 360-degree view on Rome. All the rooms, together with the 250 sq m of terraces, enjoy an unequaled view over Piazza Venezia, the altar of the Fatherland and the Aracoeli. On the first floor there is the “pontific apartment” (master suite) that is composed by its own entrance, a dressing area, an ample bedroom and two large bathrooms. The suite is joined with the rest of the apartment through an extraordinary staircase. The second floor equipped with two separate entrances is divided in an harmony way in order to host a formal area composed by a wonderful sequence of halls and a private guest area which composed by an entrance, a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Finally, the third Floor houses the large main kitchen. The penthouse is equipped with five large terraces on different levels, each with its own personality and furnishings and ready to welcome a large group of people for any event. Some of the terraces are completely closed by removable glass panes which permit it's use all year without limiting the views of the city. The apartment is completed by a separate service apartment and a private parking space. The materials used in the luxurious restoration are extremely precious. Inlaid marbles, plasters and coffee frescoed ceilings of rare beauty, decorated walls, precious cabinet-making and painting works on the wardrobes, the bookcases and the doors. Each particular has been particularly well-finished during the restoration.
