Very privat waterfront with 4± acres and 200± feet on Western Lake in Robbinston Maine. Access is via a seasonal gravel road with no power, so this will be an off-grid situation. The population of this rural Maine town is less than 600 people. Located in Maine's third least populated county, This is the place to get away from it all. Twenty-Five minutes from the property is the closest service town, Calais, which is a border town to New Brunswick Canada, separated by the Saint Croix River, with access to the Atlantic Ocean via Passamaquoddy Bay then into the Bay of Fundy. The population here is just over 3,000 people. With a hospital, Walmart, tractor supply, Dunkin Donuts, restaurants, and many other services, you will find just about everything you need here. Western Lake is a small lake of about 70 acres, max depth 14' so it is very quiet. You will not see speedboats on this lake. It has a population of wild brook trout, more caught in the winter and early spring until the waters warm up and they move out to the tributaries. There is a primitive boat launch on the lake that would allow for launching of a small aluminum boat. The ATV trail goes right by the property so you would have direct access to it. If you like to hike or mountain bike, there are plenty of gravel roads to explore. Part of the property does have an old wild blueberry field which would have to be reclaimed by either bushhogging, burning or both. This is the perfect lot to pitch a tent, park your camper and build that log cabin you have always dreamed of. Bangor and the international airport (BGR) are about 2 hours away to the south. Easy day trips to our quant coastal towns of Eastport 25 minutes away, Lubec 45 minutes and Machias is less than an hour.
