The uppermost floor, intended for use as servants’ quarters, accommodates two kitchens, several bathrooms and various smaller rooms; there is a huge, vaulted cellar - originally conceived as bathing spa with nine separate tubs - that has its own entrance and new WC facilities, making it the ideal place for parties. There is a park-line, fenced off garden leading from the drive and extending right around the property. Despite being a listed building, future owners of the Schloss have a number of appealing options with regard to modifications. Those with a passion for castles will appreciate that this is a particularly enticing and impressive prospect of historical significance offering countless possibilities. Remaining unfinished for many years, the castle was constructed in the neo-gothic style reminiscent of English castles of the period by the renowned Zurich architect Leonhard Zeugheer and is utterly unique, with no remaining examples of its type. The interiors present an abundance of rooms arranged over three floors. From the entrance hall one enters an enormous main reception hall and, beyond, the living wing, where there are numerous interconnected salons lavishly decorated with rare and valuable period features including paneled ceilings, fitted cabinets, open fireplaces, etc. An elegant wooden staircase leads up to the private quarters, which have now been divided into separate wings housing two totally modern, individual master suites with various rooms, walk-in wardrobes and bathrooms, each with their own balconies and uplifting views over the vineyards and across the extended landscape.
