-One of the biggest problems of the apartment WAS the summer heat. It used to be like a sauna in there, due to the fact that it was on the top of the building and there were windows all around. I used to have the A/C on, on full power, all day long and it was still hot (and very noisy!!).
Right now it’s very chilly and you hardly have to have the A/C on during the summer (this A/C is silent). In order to achieve this level of temperature comfort in the summer I took 4 measures:
1)added an extra layer of isolation on the roof
2)added triple glazed windows (instead of the cheap quality ones) with the highest tint I could find
3)added the window rollers that can be kept down to take on some of the heat before it reaches the window, while allowing you to see outside the apartment (unlike the usual rollers that are either fully open, either completely blind, those can form an 45 degrees angle)
4)added the cool ceilings and new A/C systems
When all those are combined, the cool ceilings do most of the work inside, requiring a minimum A/C input.
-Types of work done:
-the structure was updated in order to make better use of the spaces and to get a maximum storage capacity

-all the systems were replaced and we added heated floors and cold ceilings

-the finishes were all improved: flooring, carpets, windows, marble and mozaics, all the water taps and toilet accessories, 3D wall finishings and stucco, hatches, plumbing, lighting, electricity outlets, decking on the terrace, safety glass on the terrace

-all the furniture is new (custom made and store bought)

-updated entertainment system (Samsung smart, Apple TV new generation, Sonos, B&O)

-brand new kitchen appliances form Miele and Subzero
