Marysville, Washington

Marysville Washington is a city rich with a history in lumber and trading. Marysville's founder was a man named James P. Comeford who moved into the area in the late 1800s to run the local trading post. He settled permanently in the area, and by 1887 the first sawmill opened and railroad followed a year later. Marysville became incorporated in 1891, and today is the second largest city in Snohomish County.

The city of Marysville has much to offer its residents including parks, shopping, and community activities. Comeford Park, located just off of State Street in downtown Marysville is the site of many summer activities including the annual Strawberry Festival. Jennings Memorial Park, located in the central part of the city is a beautiful, sprawling 30 acres of forest, wetlands and trails. This park hosts the annual Kiwanis fishing derby and pancake breakfast in May, as well as a summer concert series and popcorn and movies in the park. The Marysville Skate Park has over 10,000 square feet of concrete with something for all ages and skill levels. Cedar Crest Golf Course is a public course located within the city of Marysville and features an abundance of mature evergreen, natural water features and sand bunkers.

A variety of entertainment and shopping can be found in Marysville. It is located right next to the Seattle Premium Outlet Mall as well as the Tulalip Resort and Casino offering a variety of activities. A new Cabela's will be opening this spring for the outdoor enthusiast and Marysville is also the location of the Navy Exchange.
