Learn more about homes in Combine, TX

Welcome to Combine, TX

The city of Combine is located in both Dallas and Kaufman Counties, Texas, just 28 miles southeast of the Dallas city center. Although it was established as early as the 1890’s, Combine remained a very small rural community of only a few families until the latter half of the 20th century, when Seagoville, Mesquite and other Dallas suburbs began to expand. In the 1970’s, Combine’s 300 residents decided to incorporate in order to stay separate from Seagoville, and since then the city’s population has grown by over 500%. Today Combine is an increasingly popular residential location for those who love a quiet, rural atmosphere with the convenience of being a part of one of the nation’s largest cities.

Because of its key location within the Dallas Metroplex, residents of Combine enjoy an abundance of city amenities, quality education, attractions, and recreation that make everyday an exciting one. Combine is served by both the Crandall Independent School District and the Dallas Independent School District; high school graduates and adults have access to the University of Texas at Dallas, plus several institutions within the Dallas County Community College District, such as Eastfield College in Mesquite and Cedar Valley College in Lacaster. Combine residents have endless possibilities for Dallas shopping and dining; one of the city’s most popular arts and entertainment districts, Deep Ellum, is a quick 40 minute drive—perfect for a Friday night on the town. And on days when the Dallas traffic seems overwhelming, the nearby communities of Seagoville and Mesquite offer more everyday shopping and dining options, such as Mesquite’s Town East Mall area. For outdoor recreation, Lake Ray Hubbard is only 30 miles north of Combine and offers excellent fishing and boating recreation. Also nearby are Joe Pool Lake and Lake Tawakoni, with shady park areas, clean beaches, and campsites. Golf lovers of all skill levels can enjoy the area’s collection of golf courses, such as the Creekview Golf Club in Crandall, the Old Brickyard Golf Course in Ferris, and the Country View Golf Club in Lancaster.
