Welcome to Coopersville, MI
Coopersville has historically been a rural farming community, and was named for Benjamin F. Cooper, from Utica, New York, who settled here in 1845. He purchased 640 acres of land and built a sawmill. It is situated between the second largest city in Michigan, Grand Rapids to the east and Lake Michigan to the west.
