Mansfield’s residential neighborhoods have a rural feel with tree-lined streets, miles of conservation land, and ponds, rivers, and brooks that are part of the Taunton River Watershed. But the town isn’t lacking in the amenities that make life convenient for its residents. Built in 2007, Mansfield Crossing is an outdoor, pedestrian-friendly shopping mall with more than 40 retail tenants, including restaurants and shops and a walking trail around a scenic 4-acre pond.
The highly ranked public school system and award-winning sports teams in Mansfield draw many young families to the town. The median price of housing is in the mid-$400,000s with a wide range of properties ranging from small ranches to spacious new Colonials in recently constructed subdivisions.
Mansfield is home to a thriving Music and Arts Society, and hosts the Southeastern Mass. Arts Festival every year. Situated at the intersection of Rtes. 95 and 495, the town is located approximately 30 miles south of Boston and 19 miles from Providence, and has its own MBTA Commuter Rail stop as well as a small municipal airport.
