Kentucky Horse Park
The Kentucky Horse Park is an equine park set on 1,200 acres of beautiful farmland.  This competition facility is devoted to man's connection with the horse.  The park is home to 50 different breeds of horses, and the land has been home to horses for more than 200 years.  This is THE place to get close to horses!

Keeneland is located 6 miles west of Lexington, Kentucky, and is known to be one of the finest and most beautiful racing facilities in the world.  Keeneland offers advanced training facilities and annually conducts race meetings of the highest talent in the months of April and October.  The Keeneland Racetrack is a National Historic Landmark and is located at 4201 Versailles Rd. in Fayette County.  Keeneland hosts several horse related events annually including the Blue Grass Stakes and the Phoenix Handicap, the oldest stakes race in the United States.

The Red Mile
Home to harness racing for 130 years, the Red Mile is the second oldest harness track in the world.  The Red Mile dates back  to 1875.  This track is named for the clay soil of its track, and is home to Standardbred racing, in which horses race in distinct gaits, pulling two-wheeled sulkies from which riders direct the action. The track is located at 1200 Red Mile Road (just a few blocks from downtown).
Pleasant Hill, also known as Shakertown, is located in Mercer County, near the Kentucky River. This restored village is a living history museum where all visitor services are provided in original buildings. Shakertown has America's largest and most fully restored Shaker community and living museum.  Shakertown also offers one of the most historic and peaceful lodging and extraordinary dining experiences in the country.
