This entire area is dominated by the famous Benbulben and Knocknarea mountains the final resting place of Queen Maeve and can be seen from far and wide.   Situated in the heart of Yeats country, along the Atlantic Ocean, this property comes with all the culture and history which is associated with this area.

The house has been in the Family for many generations and some years ago an Irish genealogy firm identified the property as the home of the ancestors of Brian Mulroney former Prime Minister of Canada and he came on a private visit to Castlegrange Farm in Ardtermon (meaning high safe place in English).

Set amid c.28 acres, Castlegrange Farm has direct access to the beach via an old stile and farm gate to a good stretch of sea frontage. The land is in one block all in grass, with public road frontage and stretches from the road down to the sea.

Accommodation comprises of a spacious sitting room, comfortably decorated with a wood burning stove. Sunny kitchen with fitted units, and a folding breakfast bar. There are three bright spacious bedrooms and two shower/ bathrooms.

    Land
The land extends to c.28.8 acres, all in grass, laid out in one block, with natural boundaries. The soil is fertile and sandy with drainage down to the sea, suitable for all types of agriculture.

Castlegrange Farm is located adjacent to the Wild Atlantic Way, with its own access to the beach from the farm.   This area is well known for its beauty and unusual landscape being overlooked by the famous Benbulben across Sligo Bay.

Sligo is an area of renowned cultural significance being the home to both WB Yeats the world renowned poet laureate who is buried at Drumcliffe and the Countess Markievicz, the renowned Irish freedom fighter who lived at Lissadell House, which is now open to the public with exciting amenities. Ardtermon Castle which once belonged to Castlegrange Farm, has been restored, and is now being lived in.
