Town of Carroll, also known as “Twin Mountain” in located in the heart of the White Mountains. A hikers, skiers, bikers and sight seeing paradise! Twin Mountain is best known for being centrally located in the center of all the great White Mountains and Water Falls. Mount Washington and Bretton Woods are on one end of the town and Cannon and Lafayette Mountains on the other.
Route 302 east crosses through Twin Mountain, Bretton Woods and into Attitash Peak Ski Resort and North Conway. The views along Route 302 are absolutely amazing and a great spot for watching Moose feed on the plants along Route 302. Zealand Falls, Hale Brook, and Sugar Loaf are a few of the hiking trails that are family friendly and great for bird watching. The Appalachian Mountain Club’s Highland Center in located at the beginning of Crawford Notch and there you can make reservations to do guided tours and hikes, conferences, work events and sleep.
