Laurel is located in northern Prince George’s County. Dating back to the 1800s, the city is still home to several buildings from that time period, many of which make up Laurel’s historic district. These include an 1840s home that serves as a museum and Snowden Hall, a Georgian residence that sits on the grounds of the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center. Many Laurel real estate owners choose to live in the city’s historic district, attracted by the amenities located along Laurel’s Main Street. Others prefer the nearby planned community of Konterra, a 2,200-acre New Urban village.
