Located just outside of Washington, DC, Bethesda is one of the country’s most vibrant urban and business areas. Before or after dining, a lively arts community and shopping mecca await you. There is the Strathmore Performing and Fine Arts Center, hosting internationally known performers, three live arts theaters, movie complexes and over 11 galleries. Montgomery County public schools have a reputation for excellence in teaching our future leaders and Bethesda is also home to outstanding private schools including the Holton-Arms School and the Sidwell Friends Lower School. Pursue higher education at many nearby area Universities including The American University, The George Washington University, Georgetown University and Howard University. A short ride away are the University of Maryland in College Park and the George Mason University in Northern Virginia. Easy access to the Metro system, routes I-495 and I-66 and numerous local thoroughfares make commuting to work or play accessible.
