With approximately 185 lakes, Seminole County offers unlimited recreational opportunities. The county carefully protects these natural resources, which include Lake Monroe and the scenic St. Johns River, with its moss-draped cypress trees and the springs at Wekiwa Springs State Park. The Central Florida Zoological Park is here, and is a popular attraction for both residents and tourists.
