Real Estate Leaders Convene at LeadingRE International Symposium

CHICAGO (9/16/08) – Real estate professionals from Leading Real Estate Companies of the World^® member firms are meeting in Rome, Italy this week for the network’s International Real Estate Symposium. More than 100 brokers, managers and real estate professionals are in attendance. On Monday, September 15, the Mayor of Rome, Mr. Gianni Alemanno, attended the opening ceremony in order to welcome all participants.

The program features an accomplished line-up of presenters, including keynote speakers Paola Lunghini, property journalist and former European Real Estate Society president, and Matthew Ferrara, a driving force for innovation in the real estate industry. Sessions will examine global real estate subjects such as “Country Specific Real Estate Practices,” “Keys to Promoting and Generating Cross Border Referrals,” “The State of the Luxury Market,” “Investing Abroad” and “Web 2.0 Technology for Client Acquisition and Retention.”

“As we continue to expand our network’s global footprint – with representation in 38 countries – the importance of gathering our affiliates from all corners of the world becomes increasingly important. The symposium provides our affiliates the opportunity to build cross-border relationships, exchange ideas and learn new business strategies that will strengthen our network and our members’ local market dominance,” commented LeadingRE President/CEO Pam O’Connor.
