LeadingRE Continues To Lead In Sales Among Country’s Top 500 Firms
CHICAGO—Based on 2007 results reported in the REAL Trends Top 500 survey released May 7, Leading Real Estate Companies of the World®(LeadingRE) once again led in total sales units, with 707,933 transaction sides, or 31%of the total sales generated by the 500 highest-producing residential companies in the country who reported to REAL Trends. This represented a three percent gain in total share of transactions for LeadingRE over 2006.
Of the country’s top 10 real estate companies, six are LeadingRE affiliates.
The next highest producing networks in the study, in terms of transaction sides, were Coldwell-Banker, with 522,739 (23%) transaction sides; RE/MAX with 319,367 (14%); Prudential with 216,367 (10%); and Keller-Williams with 202,130 (9%).
In this challenging market, LeadingRE’s 2007 sales in this report declined by slightly less than 14% versus the prior year, while most other networks were down between 15 and 28%.
The REAL Trends report also tracks the Number One companies in both units and sales volume in 88 of the nation’s top markets. For 2007, LeadingRE had the market leader, in either sales or volume, in 39 of those markets – or 44% of the cities – compared with its next closest competitor, which had the market leader in 27 of those markets. These results in particular reflect the resurgence in strength of local real estate brands in recent years.
