Leading Real Estate Companies of the World^® Launches International Advisory Board

CHICAGO (2/29/08) – Leading Real Estate Companies of the World^®, a network of 700 real estate firms in 35 countries, announced today that it has formed an International Advisory Board, comprised of non-U.S. members committed to expanding the value proposition of the company’s international membership programs. 

Mike Green from Harcourts International LTD in Australia serves as the inaugural chairman of the group.  “As more people are buying real estate outside of their native countries, it becomes increasingly important for real estate professionals to understand global trends, as well as commonalities and differences in markets worldwide.  This group will foster that understanding and help build cross border connections and business opportunities,” Green said.

In addition to Green, board members include: Jose Ribes Bas (Inmobiliaria Rimontgo, Spain), Jorge Philippe (Quality Inmobiliaria Habitat, Mexico), Larry Roberts (Bahamas Realty Limited, the Bahamas), Beverly Sunn (Asia Pacific Properties Ltd., China) and Benedetta Vigano (Giorgio Vigano, Italy).

“We are so pleased to have the leadership of this distinguished group as we continue to expand our global coverage,” notes Network Services President Ruth Ann Pepple, who heads LeadingRE’s international programs.  “We see an increasing need to provide service in a global marketplace, as demonstrated by the fact that our RELOHomeSearch.com and LuxuryPortfolio.com websites regularly attract visitors from 125 countries.  The Advisory Board will help us meet this objective as we add new international programs.”

The network’s international activities in recent years have included member conferences in Dublin, Ireland and Valencia, Spain, with another conference scheduled for September 14-16, 2008 at the Rome Cavalieri Hilton in Rome, Italy.
