LeadingRE Leads REAL Trends Top 500 in Sales Units
Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® Leads REAL Trends Top 500 in Sales Units
– Third party report supports the strength of LeadingRE’s independent firms. –
CHICAGO — Leading Real Estate Companies of the World
® (LeadingRE) led the list of the top 500 companies in the country in terms of sales units, according to 2006 sales figures reported by REAL
Trends Top 500. LeadingRE had nearly 777,000 transaction sides, 130,000 more than the closest competitor network. Its members comprised 18 percent of the firms on the list and represented 28 percent of the total sales units.
In the top 88 markets studied by REAL
Trends, LeadingRE had the number one broker, based on either transaction sides or volume in 40 of the cities.
“This report truly reflects the power of our independent affiliates, especially since the numbers do not include the production of several of our larger affiliates who did not participate in the survey,” said Pam O’Connor, President/CEO of LeadingRE.
For the entire network beyond those firms who number among the top 500 in the country, LeadingRE members produced over $400 billion in total sales volume in 2006 – about 1.3 million transaction sides. LeadingRE reported over $70 billion in sales of homes valued over $1 million in the upper-end market.
“Because the affiliates of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World
® are all locally or regionally branded firms, the power of the network is not always obvious, but these numbers tell the story,” O’Connor comments. “Real estate remains a local business, and these outstanding brokerage firms continue to demonstrate market dominance.”
